A five-strong European Parliamentary delegation is set visit Slovakia next week to examine the drawing of EU funds in the agriculture sector, TASR learnt on Friday. Members of the EP Budgetary Control Committee (CONT) are set to arrive to the east of Slovakia on Monday to investigate alleged misuse of agriculture subsidies in the area. They will meet local farmers and representatives of the region. The EP delegation will then move to Bratislava to meet Agriculture Minister Gabriela Matecna (SNS), representatives of the Agricultural Payment Agency (PPA), NGOs, the special prosecutor as well as investigative journalists.
