Environmentalists urge Slovak parties to back more ambitious climate policies

February 13th, 2020

Environmental activists from Greenpeace, Fridays for Future Slovakia, Concerned Mothers as well as the Let's Not Lose Any Time initiative have asked political parties to engage in more ambitious climate policies. The activists presented three demands. They want parties to support the EU's goal of lowering emissions by 65 percent by 2030 and to draw up a plan that would achieve carbon neutrality by 2040. The third demand is that all energy should be produced from renewable sources by 2050.
