Czech diplomats passed on Prague's response to the European Commission's (EC) first draft audit report concerning Czech PM Babis's suspected conflict of interest to the EC in Brussels this afternoon, well-informed sources confirmed to CTK today. The EC should take the Czech view of the matter into consideration in the final version of its report. According to the EC draft audit report, Babis (ANO chairman) faces a conflict of interest due to the EU subsidies paid to the Agrofert concern, which he transferred to trust funds in February 2017 to meet the amended conflict of interest law, but is still influencing it as the funds' main beneficiary.
