November 7th, 2019
The European Commission has lowered Poland's general government deficit forecast to 1.0 percent of GDP in 2019 from 1.6 percent expected earlier, and to minus 0.2 percent, from minus 1.4 percent, of GDP in 2020. The EC predicts Poland's general government deficit in 2021 to be 0.9 percent of GDP. The estimates include tax changes, transition charges of open pension funds (OFE), as well as the payments of pensions.
