The European Commission will demand monthly reports from Poland on inspections carried out in slaughterhouses, PAP has been told by an EU source. EC Spokesperson Anca Puduraru told PAP the preliminary findings, presented to the member states in Brussels on February 11, indicate a number of shortcomings in the system of inspection in Polish slaughterhouses. She added that the European Commission has sent a request to Polish authorities to present a roadmap aimed at resolving the shortcomings. Paduraru pointed out that the delegation of EC auditors, which visited in Poland on February 4-8, will present the final report of their visit by the end of March.
