The farmers' initiative has agreed with the Slovak Hauliers Association (UNAS) on suspension of a strike, said Patrik Magdosko of the initiative that is the chief organiser of the protest-commemorative meeting in Bratislava on Friday, adding that they would like to prepare a general strike with the support of hauliers, surveyors and foresters within a month. "We'll inform the government by a joint statement in a short time," said Magdosko, adding they insist on their current demands. "Corruption is what bothers hauliers, as well as everybody," he said. The letter to the government should be prepared within a week. They expect the Agriculture and Rural Development Ministry to provide them with an exact schedule for meeting the tasks, like the Interior Ministry did.
