The European Parliament is about to discredit itself by holding a debate next week on Hungary's coronavirus law, Fidesz MEP Tamas Deutsch said on Wednesday, insisting that the debate would be about something that has already been factually refuted. Vera Jourova, the EC vice president for values and transparency, has said that the Commission had assessed the Hungarian legislation on the state of emergency and found nothing objectionable from the point of view of EU law, he noted. Her statement has made the EC's position clear "once and for all", Deutsch said.
