Slovakia needs at least one domestic air route between Kosice, Poprad (Presov region) and Bratislava to keep these airports in operation, Parliamentary Speaker Andrej Danko said in connection with the fact his party failed to push through a national air carrier, TASR learnt on Wednesday. Danko noted that the national air carrier was not supported by Transport Minister Arpad Ersek. "I believe we'll arrive at what I've always been saying that we need at least an internal flight route between Kosice, Poprad and Bratislava, because we won't be able to keep these airports, especially Poprad, in operation. There are many problems related to operations in Poprad and those airports have been neglected for 30 years both in terms of runways and in terms of technology," Danko added.
