Germany's Daimler will build a 50 billion forint (EUR 148m) pressing plant at its base in Kecskemet (C Hungary), Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto announced on site on Friday. The 23,000sqm plant will double the base's pressing capacity and create 200 jobs, Szijjarto said. He added that the investment would further strengthen Hungary's economy. The aim is to maintain the fastest growth rate in the European Union, he said. The state of the art technology used in the plant will make vehicle production more effective and flexible not only locally but also globally, he added.
