Czechs stricter than others on some points of new EU fiscal deal

The Czech Republic has a stricter position than other EU countries on some points of the new EU fiscal treaty whose final text will be negotiated by the leaders of EU countries on Monday, Czech state secretary for EU affairs Vojtech Belling said on Friday. The Czech government wants the text of the treaty to directly name the sanctions that the European Court of Justice may impose on countries for not introducing budget limits in its legal systems.
