Czechs draw almost 24,000 last wills with notaries in 2019

February 7th, 2020

The number of last wills drawn up in 2019 was 23,714, an increase of 3,000 compare to 2018, the Notarial Chamber of the Czech Republic (NKCR) told CTK on Friday. The most common reason people cite for writing a last will is that they do not agree with the inheritance succession set in law or that they are trying to prevent conflict among inheritors and family members. The number of last wills written in Western Europe each year remains larger.
