CzechRep to file disapproval statement on Polish mine extension

The Czech Republic will file a disapproval statement next week concerning the planned expansion of the Polish Turow lignite mine near the Czech border, Environment Minister Richard Brabec (ANO) told CTK after his meeting with Czech border towns' mayors on Friday. The statement will also be accompanied by additional conditions on water source and air quality protection in case the Polish side decides to move forward on the mine's expansion.
