The Russian criticism of the Czech law commemorating the victims of the 1968 invasion is unacceptable, President Milos Zeman's spokesman told CTK on Thursday, and Foreign Minister Tomas Petricek said he considers August 21, 1968 "a national tragedy". Jiri Ovcacek said the Russian Foreign Ministry's reaction to the decision, which included the Day of the Victims of the Invasion of 1968 and the Subsequent Occupation by Warsaw Pact Armies among significant Czech national days, is "absolutely inappropriate and unacceptable."
