The record high number of 1,164 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Czechia on Tuesday, compared with the previous maximum of 796 from September 4, and the number of those currently ill is also record high, 9,272, according to the Health Ministry's data released this morning. A total of 234 patients are in hospital, including 62 in serious condition, which is the highest number since April 29. The country has seen a total number of 29,877 coronavirus cases since the epidemic outbreak in early March. Out of the patients, more than 20,000 have recovered and 441 died.
