Czech survivor of Genoa bridge collapse to keep driving

Czech lorry driver Martin Kucera, who survived the motorway bridge collapse in Genoa, Italy, last week, suffering broken ribs, wants to return to his profession as soon as he recovers, he told reporters after his release from Prague's Thomayer hospital on Wednesday. He said at the press conference that he had survived the tragic accident thanks to a number of lucky coincidences. His lorry plunged 45 metres to the ground from the bustling Morandi motorway bridge after a section of it collapsed in north Italy last Tuesday. A total of 43 people died in the tragedy.
