Czech student to attend first UN youth climate summit

Czech student Lucie Smolkova, 18, from Brno, will attend the first United Nations Youth Climate Summit to be held in the UN seat in New York on September 21, a day after the global strike for climate, the UN Information Centre in Prague has said on its website. Smolkova has entered the list of 100 young personalities selected from more than 7,000 applicants aged 18-29 from all over the world, who actively participated in a climate action. They are to get the "Green Ticket" whose holders will join the more than 500 delegates to the youth summit.
