Czech Social Democrat Zimola acquitted of corruption charges

Czech police have shelved the case of unclear financing of a recreation house relating to former regional governor Jiri Zimola, who runs for the post of Social Democrat (CSSD) leader, Zimola told journalists today. Zimola said this had confirmed he was innocent and that the case had a political background.
