The Czech Republic is set to receive almost 20 billion euros from the special recovery fund totalling 750 billion euros that the European Commission plans in aid to the EU countries hit by the coronavirus crisis, according to the draft that CTK has at its disposal. Based on this proposal for the preliminary division of direct payments and loans, by which the EC wants to raise the multiannual budget, the biggest beneficiaries of this aid would be the most afflicted southern European countries, Italy and Spain, which would receive more than one-third of the package between them.
