Czech police seize record volume of marijuana in 2017

The Czech National Drug Headquarters (NPC) seized 1.1 tonnes of marijuana and uncovered 305 growing facilities in 2017, record high numbers since the establishment of the NPC special police unit, its annual report shows. The report states that the situation in the country is quite stable as regards drugs. Pervitin (methamphetamine) was the second most prevalent drug in the country. Police seized 93 kilos of it and eliminated 264 labs. The police have registered new trends with regard to both marijuana and pervitin. Newly, the Serbian gangs joined the drug trafficking scene, next to the Vietnamese criminal groups.
