Czech ombudsman criticises coal plants' privatisation

February 18th, 2020

Outgoing ombudsman Anna Sabatova on Tuesday criticised the privatisation of coal power plants, warning that the Czech Republic could lose control over the largest producers of emissions, ombudsman's office spokesman Stanislav Biler said in a press release. Sabatova, whose six-year term ends today, says the government's decision is irresponsible and is hazardous to the lives of future generations.
