The National Gallery (NG) in Prague is marking the 50th anniversary of the events of August 1968 through three exhibitions which include a cycle of photographs by Josef Koudelka, paintings by Jiri Petrbok and the Mystery of Capek's Carpet exhibition, NG director Jiri Fajt told journalists on Tuesday. The opening of the exhibitions will be accompanied by live music and the screening of the Cosy Dens (Pelisky, 1999) film. The famous cycle of photographs by Koudelka entitled Invasion 68 will be on display till January 6 together with a video installation featuring shots by film director Jan Nemec.
