The Czech military plans to spend over 100 billion crowns on new equipment such as CASA transport aircraft, multipurpose helicopters, mobile and airbase radars, armoured vehicles, an anti-aircraft system and combat drones by 2027, Chief-of-Staff Ales Opata said on Monday. More than 100 purchase and upgrading projects are to be completed within the next ten years. The most expensive relates to the plan on purchasing 210 tracked infantry fighting vehicles, for an estimated price of 53 billion crowns.
