September 10th, 2020
The Czech lower house on Thursday turned down, by votes of the government parties' deputies, the draft agenda of a special session initiated by the opposition to discuss ways to tackle the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic. The session was initiated by the Civic Democrats (ODS), Christian Democrats (KDU-CSL), TOP 09 and Mayors and Independents (STAN). In today's vote, however, its draft agenda was rejected by the votes of the senior government ANO movement, the junior government Social Democrats (CSSD) and of the Communists (KSCM), who keep the minority government afloat in parliament.
