The Czech Interior Ministry will seek an amendment to the asylum law that would enable a decision on granting asylum to be made within 30 days in emergency situations in case of a new migrant wave, Minister Jan Hamacek said in parliament on Thursday, answering an opposition MP's question. The proposed measure would be a safeguard that could be applied by the government in case of an excessive inflow of illegal migrants, Hamacek(Social Democrats, CSSD) said.
