Czech government approves bill on lobbying rules

The government approved today a bill to stipulate clear rules for lobbying in the Czech Republic with the aim to increase its transparency by the introduction of lobbyists and their targets, the lobbied, the cabinet has tweeted. The bill, drafted by the Justice Ministry, will be now sent to the Chamber of Deputies, the lower house of Czech parliament. Lobbying is not regulated in the current Czech legislation. The civilian counter-intelligence office (BIS) has repeatedly warned that lobbyists influence the public offices' decision-making in an undesirable way.
