Czech Foreign Minister Tomas Petricek (Social Democrats, CSSD) will not visit Kuwait later this week, despite his original schedule, since the Kuwaiti side has cancelled the visit due to the security situation in the region, Foreign Ministry press department told CTK today. The ministry is going to seek a new date for Petricek's trip. It is impossible to estimate now whether it will take place this year, it said. The goal of Petricek's visit was to boost bilateral diplomatic activities. Last time, a Czech foreign minister visited Kuwait in 2004.
