Czech foreign minister pledges 35 m crowns for Yemen

Czech Foreign Minister Tomas Petricek promised the Czech Republic will send aid worth almost 35 million crowns to Yemen between 2019 and 2020 at today's Yemen pledging conference in Geneva, the ministry's press department has said. The UN needs to collect four billion dollars for Yemen with the countries attending the conference already pledging to give 2.6 billion dollars. Petricek said the Czech Republic would continue with its humanitarian aid for Yemen and called the situation in the country one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world.
