Czech cabinet approves parental benefit rise

May 20th, 2019

The Czech government on Monday approved higher parental benefits for the parents of newborn babies as well as children under four years of age by 80,000 crowns to 300,000 crowns in total as of January, the cabinet's press section has announced. The exact sum will depend on the previous income and the child's age, that is the number of months until the child turns four, Labour and Social Affairs Minister Jana Malacova (junior government Social Democrats, CSSD) said.
