The Czech Republic's anti-drug policy is among the most effective in the EU in spite of a lower funding, National Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Addiction (NMS) head Viktor Mravcik told journalists. Mravcik reacted to an annual report by the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) out in Lisbon on Thursday. The Czech Republic can, for example, prevent successfully the spreading of infections, the expert said, but added that the network of treatment facilities is insufficient and help is not always available to those who want to overcome their addiction.
