The Czech Culture Ministry will ask for its budget to be raised by almost 2.4 billion crowns in 2020 compared with that approved for this year, Culture Minister Antonin Stanek (Social Democrats, CSSD) told journalists today. This year, the ministry is to receive almost 14.8 billion crowns, while the ministry demands over 17 billion crowns for next year, Stanek said. By 2021, the ministry would like to have reached the 1 percent proportion in the total expenditures of the state budget, as suggested by Czech government for two decades.
