Court of appeal upholds corruption verdict for Rath

The high court of appeals in Prague today sentenced former regional governor David Rath to seven years in prison, a ten-million fine and a 7-year ban to work in the civil service over fraud in public contracts in Central Bohemia. The appeals court mitigated Rath's original punishment of 8.5 years in prison to 7 years.
