Court again acquits football fans charged with racist attack

July 20th, 2020

The Prague 10 District Court today again acquitted three fans of the Sigma Olomouc football club of racism charges for an attack on a coloured man in a tram in Prague, but the verdict did not take effect as the state attorney appealed it on the spot today. Judge Ivana Hynkova said it was not proven that exactly the three defendants, Stepan Cernin, Tomas Satora and Josef Richard Uhlik, were the attackers. The young men denied the charges of causing bodily harm, defamation of race and breach of the peace.
