Up to 24,000 Slovaks might need to be admitted to hospital with COVID-19, while as many as 537,000 in total could be infected with the new coronavirus, according to a forecast model released by the Health Ministry's Health Policy Institute (IZP) on Tuesday. The model shows that 10 percent of Slovaks could get infected within 110 days from March 15. Nevertheless, the figure could be much higher if there were no containment measures.
