Hungary's National Competitiveness Council, a body of business leaders and experts established to make recommendations to the government, discussed proposals on strengthening competitiveness and improving foreign language instruction at a meeting on Tuesday, Finance Minister Mihaly Varga, who also sits on the Council, told a press conference. The proposals were made by the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK), Varga said. The Council will still discuss two more proposals made by the Innovation and Technology Ministry and the National Bank of Hungary before consolidating them in its own recommendation to be submitted to the government after July 10, he added.
