Chief of General Staff named as potential commander in chief for wartime

Polish President Andrzej Duda has named the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army, General Rajmund Andrzejczak, as the person designated to the position of commander in chief of the Armed Forces during wartime, the National Security Bureau (BBN) told PAP on Thursday. The designation will be held on August 15, during the Polish Armed Forces Day. The president's decision was made on the motion of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
