The Slovak Modern Business Alliance (SAMO) has said it understands the government's move to restrict the movement of people as a condition for the success of subsequent nationwide testing. SAMO considers the fact that the state has not closed down shops to be an advantage, although at present no one can go into them apart from precisely defined exceptions. When the reason for restricting movement ceases to exist, life will return also to shops that are not currently exempted, the alliance said. It expressed, at the same time, its concern about a major loss of staff after the nationwide testing. "From SAMO's point of view, it's important that testing doesn't cause staff shortages, as grocery and drug stores are part of the state's critical infrastructure," SAMO chairman Martin Krajcovic said.
