Błaszczak to meet with members of Congress, other officials during US visit

Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak announced on Tuesday that he will meet with a group of congressmen during his visit to the United States. Błaszczak said he wants to thank them for the fact that there are permanent bases for American troops in Poland. US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will receive President Andrzej Duda and his wife Agata Kornhauser-Duda in Washington on September 18. This will be Duda's first official visit to the White House. Among the topics to be discussed by the Polish and American presidents are security, geopolitics, Polish-American military cooperation, allied cooperation between Poland and the US on regional and global security issues, economic contacts, including US investments in Poland and opportunities to increase trade between the two countries.
