Beblavy's party to endorse Mistrik's presidential bid

The extra-parliamentary Together-Civic Democracy party will support in the 2019 presidential election scientist Robert Mistrik, who is running as an independent candidate, leader of Together-Civic Democracy Miroslav Beblavy told a press conference on Monday. Beblavy said that in addition to Mistrik, another presidential candidate -- lawyer Zuzana Caputova (Progressive Slovakia) -- had also asked for the party's support in the election. After having heard both of them, Together-Civic Democracy leadership voted 11:0 in a secret ballot to throw its support behind Mistrik.
TASR
