Balog calls for respect for different views in EU

The European Union should have respect for alternative ideas and different views, Zoltan Balog told a roundtable on Austria's public ORF 2 television on Sunday night. Balog, prime ministerial commissioner and former human resources minister, insisted that Europe's strength lay in its "unity in diversity". Concerning Hungary's current policies Balog said that the Hungarian government seeks to build a "Christian Democratic Europe and strong nation states".
