The Visegrad Four (V4) summit in Israel, planned for February 19, will not take place due to Poland's absence, Czech PM Andrej Babis told media today, adding that bilateral talks will be held instead and Slovak PM Peter Pellegrini and Hungarian PM Viktor Orban were already in Israel. The summit of the V4 countries (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia) with Israel could take place in the second half of the year when the Czech Republic will preside over the V4, Babis said. Poland refused to attend the upcoming summit over what it called anti-Polish comments by top Israel representatives, Polish press agency PAP said citing Polish PM Mateusz Morawiecki.
