The Auschwitz Museum, in Oswiecim, southern Poland, has regained original documents of the second part of the so-called Eiss Archive, one of the largest collections documenting the rescue activities of Polish diplomacy for Jews at risk during the Holocaust. The archive includes passports forged by the Polish diplomats (the so-called 'Bernese Group'), and dozens of photos of Jews seeking to obtain the documents, as well as letters between the Polish diplomats and Jewish organisations.
