The equipment used by the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic is obsolete and armoured vehicles are needed, former defence ministers Martin Glvac, Martin Fedor and Lubomir Galko said on Monday. However, the best practice in major modernisation projects is through cooperation between several countries or a transparent international tender, the former ministers said regarding the procurement of new 8x8 and 4x4 armoured vehicles.
