Armed Forces to train over 300 active reservists next year

June 26th, 2018

The Slovak Armed Forces want to train over 300 active reservists next year, Defence Ministry spokesperson Danka Capakova told TASR on Tuesday. Those interested in joining the army's active reserves have until August 31 to apply through a recruitment group in the regional town based on their permanent residence, said Capakova. The regular training of active reservists will take place between April and June 2019, based on their capabilities. This year the Armed Forces plan to include 116 active reservists in the 21st mixed mechanised battalion in Trebisov, 79 reservists in the Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Protection Battalion in Roznava (both Kosice region), 95 reservists in the Sered (Trnava) engineer battalion and 15 reservists in the Military Police in Trencin.
