Artist Residency Program

Visegrad Artists Residency Program is a new programme of the International Visegrad Fund created for the purpose of facilitating artistic exchanges for Applicants who are citizens of the Visegrad countries. The residency project must be implemented in other Visegrad country.

Visegrad Artists Residencies are for artistic projects specified in the application form. The country of citizenship and country of permanent residence of the artist must be different from the hosting country. The length of supported period of residency is 3 months.

To apply for the residency, each artist has to find a host organization, which will accept her/his residency project.

Compulsory annexes to the application are as follows:

     (1) copy of ID or passport
     (2) documentation of the previous artistic works
     (3) residency project accepted by the Hosting Organization
     (4) copy of founding documents of the Hosting Organization

Every applicant for the residency will be evaluated by the selection committee, consisting of four independent experts covering different fields of art. The artists will be selected on the basis of proportionality from among the applicants who shall be citizens of the Visegrad countries.

Selected artists will receive residency fee of €750 per month and the Hosting Organization will receive €750 per month to cover expenses related to the residency.

Deadline for 2010 residencies is 10 September 2009.
