Slovak railway passenger carrier ZSSK Slovensko has said it is "alarmed" by the preliminary statement of objections by the European Commission, and that it had not prevented the EU authority from carrying out an inspection of the company. "On the contrary, it (ZSSK) was fully co-operative," ZSSK spokesman Tomas Kovac said. He reacted to the preliminary statement by the EC, according to which the national passenger carrier prevented the body from carrying out an inspection of it in June 2016 by providing inaccurate information and deleting data from a laptop.
