The Towns and Villages Association (ZMOS) has called on the government to reimburse immediately the costs incurred by countrywide testing for Covid-19, ZMOS chairman Branislav Treger told a press conference in Liptovsky Hradok (Zilina region) on Monday, emphasising that the costs related to the first wave of novel coronavirus had not been reimbursed yet. "We also demand that the government resolution adopted in connection with individual needs and funding should be corrected and cancelled. We also want to request from the government that the interest-free loans offered to local governments should become transfers. We want subsidies rather than loans," said Treger, stating that local governments carried out the tasks assigned to them during the testing in a fastidious manner.
