The protection of basic rights and freedoms even during the state of emergency and pandemic crisis deserves special attention, Prosecutor-General Maros Zilinka concurred with Public Ombudswoman Maria Patakyova on Monday. The fulcrum of their Monday meeting was the current pandemic situation in Slovakia, the legality of the preventive measures and whether some interventions into the fundamental rights and freedoms of the people have been appropriate, TASR learnt from Prosecutor-General's Office spokesperson Dalibor Skladan on the same day.
