February 14th, 2022
Prosecutor-General Maros Zilinka has objected to claims that he has dishonoured and disgraced the memory of the victims of the 1968 invasion of the-then Czechoslovakia by drawing parallels between the Defence Cooperation Agreement (DCA) with the United States and the 1968 occupation treaty, criticising what he views as distortions and attempts to take his statements out of context. The PG stressed in this regard that he only wanted to take the floor in parliament during the debate on the DCA to present his expert opinion, including 35 substantive comments regarding the document, and to point to some of the agreement's shortcomings.
