Ziga slams E.ON - VSE deal

Slovakia lost an epochal opportunity to rectify the disadvantageous privatisation carried out by Mikulas Dzurinda's government (1998-2006) and regain managerial control over the energy utility monopoly for distribution of electricity in eastern Slovakia, former economy minister Peter Ziga (2016-20), now an independent opposition MP, said on Thursday, in response to reports that German E.On is buying 49 percent of Vychodoslovenska Energetika Holding's (VSE) shares.
