Zeman, Tsikhanouskaya meet, support jailed opposition in Belarus

Czech President Milos Zeman received Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya today, Zeman's spokesman Jiri Ovcacek has tweeted, adding that the president supported the relaxation of visa restrictions for Belarusian students and criticised jailing of political prisoners in Belarus. They discussed the establishment of the Belarusian house in Prague, too, Ovcacek added. "Mr President confirmed that the Czech Republic stands up for independent Belarus not only with words, but with deeds, too," Ovcacek wrote.
